 Description Research project regarding some aspect of French Colonialism in Algeria. Possible topics include but are not limited to: Why does colonialism exist? What are its justifications? What are its effects? How is power maintained? Two main texts (Tocquville and Memmi) must be used in supporting a thesis. Additional research from two or three secondary source articles should be applied where necessary. All sources except Memmi will be attached. The topic is flexible and may be tailored to fit a suitable thesis statement given the source material and page requirement.
