 Description I am required to write a detailed comparative, historical and literary analysis about Robert Graves’ Good-bye to All That: An Autobiography (New York: Penguin Modern Classics) and Alexandre Solzhenitsyn’s, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich (New York: Bantam Books. The paper must consider and compare the historical conditions that influenced the writers’ political and literary perspective when writing the two “autobiographies.”

Structural requirements: Paper should be typed in 12 pt. font, double-spaced, 1 inch margins. The essay should not be a summary of the book.and Include a thesis statement. E.g. “Bulgakov’s character Sharik represents the revolutionary bureaucratic class discussed in Fitzpatrick’s history.” When repeating a quote from the same text, note the change in page. Do not quote more than three sentences from the text in one citation. Check CMS for guidelines for quoting material. Must use quotes from the text to support their arguments and interpretations. However, do not quote more than three lines of text in a single quoted passage. Try to paraphrase the authors’ points and use only the most salient quotes from each text.
Writing style: Use the chicago Manual of Style footnote or endnote citation. DO NOT USE PARENTHETICAL CITATIONS.
