Description -paper must decide whether or not the book (Heart of Darkness) is racist, by combining literary evidence from the novel with quotations from Chinua Achebe's article
-writer should use the thesis and point sentences provided by me in the notes section. -also should use a minimum of 3 quotations per paragraph, sometimes more.:Thesis: Throughout Marlow's narration in Conrad's novella, Heart of
Darkness, although there is a constant presence of underlying racism in
accordance with Achebe's evidence, Conrad himself is using his characters'
prejudiced views to emphasize his point concerning the fundamental evils
that make up imperialism.

Point Sentence 1: Achebe provides strong arguments to support the presence
of racism throughout the narration.

Point Sentence 2: Although it can be proved that Marlow is fundamentally
biased against the natives of Africa, it is difficult to show that Conrad
propagates similar feelings.

Point Sentence 3: In actuality, Conrad purposely included a prejudiced
narrator to illustrate the discrepancies between the idealist European
intent and the reality of colonization in Africa.

Conclusion Paragraph: Should talk about how Marlow is racist, but Conrad
is not, should also refer back to Achebe's article.
