A) Paper – Write a paper explaining what you have learned about promoting language and literacy development in early childhood. Take the following list as a framework for your paper writing. Please support your points with examples or evidence. o What are the most important, surprising or useful things you have learned in this course? Explain, and provide examples relating to the concepts and theories presented. o How has studying this module changed your thinking about early literacy/language development and education? Compare your pre- and post-course conceptions (and practices) as appropriate. o In what ways have you further developed your teaching skills in language curriculum? Provide examples from your experiences in the classroom (if available). o What are the issues about early literacy/language development that you would like to further explore? Why are these important to you? How might you obtain more information and insights on these issues? B) Learning Evidence - Include materials in your learning portfolio as learning evidence. Be sure to relate the learning evidence and materials to the written paper. Do not just include materials in the appendices without explanation. Include references as needed.
