Directions for Literature Review.
Based on your problem definition, perform a search of relevant research to help guide and focus your research proposal.
Problem Definition: Learning with ADHD - finding and utilizing new strategies that engage all students, including those with ADHD.
Problem Statement:
Seen more and more in the classroom are the affects that Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has on learning for the student. With the increase and rise of children being diagnosed with this disorder, it has become a regular household term, simply stated as ADHD. ADHD is a common behavioral disorder that affects an estimated 8% to 10% of school-age children; and boys are about three times more likely than girls to be diagnosed with it (KidsHealth, 2007). When students with ADHD cannot sit still, pay attention, or attend to details, the material being instructed cannot be fully comprehended, which in essence, affects overall learning for all students. Not only is the student affected by this disorder, but the teacher is also tremendously affected. The teacher spends a considerable amount of time redirecting and refocusing the student with ADHD. These strategies may make a small impact to improve learning for the student with ADHD, but the other students continue to suffer as a result of behaviors exhibited with ADHD. More specifically, the problem to address is finding and utilizing new strategies that engage all students, including those with ADHD.

Task:
Write a literature review (suggested length of 8–10 pages) in which you do the following:
A. Review at least 12 resources that are appropriate to the research topic in terms of:
• Relevance
• Publication dates (must be current)
• Scholarly journals
B. Organize the literature review using sections that relate to parts of your research problem. (See below.)
C. Within the sections of your literature review, use your sources to provide relevant support for your research problem by discussing: (Divide your resources as noted below.)

1. Four of your resources must discuss/review factors that influence human behaviors in your specific research topic. Place these in a heading named "Factors That Influence Human Behaviors"
2. Four of your resources must discuss/review barriers to the success of an education program or educational intervention. Place these in a heading named "Barriers to the Success of an Education Program or Educational Intervention."
3. Four of your resources must discuss/review best practices related to your research topic. Place these in a heading named "Best Practices."
D. Include all in-text citations and references in APA format. Resources must be credible articles that are retrieved from a database. All resources will be checked for accuracy.

Prior to this assignment, I had to provide a resource paper. See the attachment that includes an annotated bibliography; maybe it can help you...but I need more current resources (2 to 4 years) for the literature review that you will be writing. Are there any technology resources that can facilitate learning for those with ADHD?
