Description
FRANCO VIDEO DOCUMENTARY FOR FINAL YEAR UNIVERSITY PROJECT.
Hi, I have already started to do this, but getting stuck as Im not really understanding what my tutor is expecting of me! Therefore, the majority of the research is done (i.e. theorists research) so really its just a re-wording piece with a slight amount of research needed. It is the wording and paragraphing that I am getting criticised for!
Bit of background information.
I am creating a video documentary for my final year project and this essay is to go alongside it - detailing what it is/ how im going to go about it. This essay needs to be 2000 words.
Like I have said - I have already started to do this, so I have attached my work as a starting point for you!
Here is a bit of background info on what the documentary is about:
it is going to be called:
"After Franco, what?" The close of one chapter and the opening of another!
Basically Franco caused a lot of friction in Spain when he was in power. He has since died and I am wishing to investigate whether his 'ghost' still reigns over Spain?! i.e. - is there still a divide between Barcelona and the rest?! I have already been out to Spain to film and have interviewed people who are mainly anti Franco - pleased to see him gone! Although i have managed to find someone that is pro franco that wishes to be disguished whilst on camera. I have also interviewed university lecturers (St Lous university, Madrid) and have been to the Valley of the Fallen (where Franco is buried) and where there still remains a lot of controversy over the building of such a monument.
Here is these assessment:
Using your rationale as a starting point, you should develop and describe in greater detail the ideas informing your project:
*its proposed content, genre or style, *means of production to be employed (eg. video),
*where appropriate the number of participants/contributors (eg. performers, interviewees, experts etc), *the project’s intended audience/readership/market and so on.
(I can give you the number of participants etc once winning bidder is found!)
You should also give some consideration to a hypothetical transmission slot or publication/distribution/exhibition strategy.
In addition you should demonstrate how your project relates to broader questions of genre, style and critical history. This does not mean that you have to justify your project as simply illustrative of a particular theory or, say, literary, dramatic or cinematic tradition, but you should make an effort to relate your project to relevant issues explored in the critical/historical aspects of Spain. For example - I have used identity in my example. but you could use your own if you like
Please find attached my first attempt - including research at this essay and
My rationale. I have highlighted and included my tutors comments in the first attempt to give you a rough idea of what is expected!!
I have also attached some additional info on the Spanish civil war as I have been told i must include more of that as background knowledge in this essay.
I willk keep in constant contact with the winning writer so this is perfect - and will give as much help and info as i can.
I have included my work and research so far (as attachments).
Please also note that I do have a further essay on this subject to do after this (developing the ideas further) so if the winning bidder is also interested in doing this for me after, let me know)
