• What are the effects of the “north” and “south” nongovernmental organizations/actors as well as global institutions on ________________’s politics of globalization?
• Discuss the role/relationship of domestic politics on a country’s globalization policy.
• What can a concerned global citizen do to contribute to _________________’s welfare?
• Students must integrate one of the models discussed in class to their country and explain how it applies to their country. (Please refer to the “Globalizing Processes” document under “Resource for Class Lectures” for assistance)
• Be able to produce a well-sourced argument-driven paper.
Suggestions for your paper:
Students may (but are not required to) utilize the other documents under “Resource for Class Lectures” as well as “Resource for Research Paper” (available on their homepage) to further expand their papers.
• (i.e.) “Leadership Theories of International Relations”: students can use this resource to explain/explore their country’s domestic politics and relations; you can also use Domestic Theory; Global Index, etc. (All can be found in Resource for Class Lectures and Resource for Research Paper).
Technical requirements for paper:
• The minimum requirement is 11 pages (double space with 12 size font, Times New Roman with one inch margins). Maximum is 17 pages (double space).
• Cover page (include name, date, section number, title); no bindings or alternative folders. Simply staple your paper on the upper left hand corner. Cover page does NOT count toward your 11-page requirement.
• Provide proper citations. (Please do not use sources such as Wikipedia; they are not considered legitimate sources, but they can be used to give you an idea to jump start your paper. Use ONLY scholarly sources i.e. JSTOR, LEXIS-NEXIS, JOURNALS, etc. for in-text citations and bibliography)
• Citations/bibliography: any accredited format is acceptable (i.e. APA, MLA, APSA)
• All students must include a separate bibliography page at the end of their paper. (This bibliography page does NOT count towards your 11-page requirement.)
• Graphs, charts, and other forms of visual display of information do NOT count toward your 11-page requirement.
