Description
An assignment question will be chosen by each student for research and critical analysis. It must be fully referenced and double spaced on a single side of A4 pages. The assignment must be no more than 2500 words. Choice of 1 out of 2 on the following:
1. Report on a recent Australian court or tribunal decision concerning the hospitality/tourism industry. Detail the major findings of the case and the likely impacts for the industry. You are encouraged to choose a case that has been the subject of informed commentary.
2. Report on a topical hospitality/tourism regulation. Detail the reasons for the reasons for the regulation, and analyse commentary from the industry. Limit your report to discussion of a particular provision or part of the regulation. Do not attempt to cover an entire Act.

9. Duties of travel agent
10. Responsibilities if alcohol servers
11. Responsibilities of airline (Warsaw convention)
Format of report:
- Introduction (what is the topic)
- State the law (describe the law)
- Criticize/ evaluate/ argue the law (analysis):
(i) How effective? Any implications?
(ii) Benefits/strengths? Weaknesses of law?
- Proposed reforms/recommendations (this part is optional)
- Conclusion
