Description Students are required to undertake a critical analysis and review of a public sector tourism plan. This is an individual task and assignments must follow a report format.
Students may choose a plan produced for a national, state, regional or local tourism destination from Australia or overseas and provide a concise, critical analysis of the plan. The report should include discussion and recommendations based on the literature. The following topics are indicative of the areas to be covered:
- Goals, objectives and rationale of the plan in relation to tourism.
- Relationship between tourism and other economic sectors.
- Stakeholder engagement and roles in the planning process and plan outcomes.
- Integration of sustainable development principles in approach and outcomes.
- Other points as discussed in class throughout the semester.
Students will have the opportunity to undertake an alternative piece of assessment in consultation with the Course Coordinator. Student have the option to develop a tourism plan for a destination. However the scope of the plan and the chosen destination must be approved in writing by the Course Coordinator.

• Make sure you have selected your tourism destination plan There are lots of tourism destination plans out there and as I have mentioned in class they are called all sorts of things like tourism strategic plans, tourism development plans, sustainable tourism plans, etc, etc. The only one that you should definitely stay away from are tourism marketing strategies or plans.

 What and why should be in the plan and what should not and why shouldn’t be in the plan
 Why future plan and stockholder should be in the plan? Etc
 Please compare how the plan differ for example: national plan to state plan or to regional or local plan
Once you have selected and read your plan see if you can:
• Identify who was responsible for undertaking the plan (i.e. government, tourism association, etc.)
• Identify their reason or motive for undertaking the plan (i.e. manage impacts of tourism; develop an agenda for action, part of funding requirement, etc, etc).
• Identify if the plan has a vision, mission and/or objectives. What are they? How were they developed (i.e. by a committee, stakeholder input, etc?)
• See if you can identify the approach to tourism planning (remember from week 3 the economic, physical, environmental or community approaches). Is sustainable tourism development mentioned? If so, in what context?

please use at least 20 reference and topic on "australia's coral coast"

you need to talk about what's important about strategic plan and why important? and what would you expected to see in a formal strategic plan then refer back to australia's coral coast plan do they have it? or not then make recommodation.

i have upload the files please use that as the checklist and requirment..in each of the section please include a mini introduction eg. what is marketing anyalysis? from the literature then refer to your plan then make recommodation...
